  1. An Announcement

    09 November 2011 - 05:20 AM

    Fellow Troopers,

it is with regret that I inform you of my decision to stand down as Garrison CO. My private life has recently been completely turned upside down and I don't feel I can give the Garrison my full attention.

I thank all of you who voted me into the position back in Feb/March. I have enjoyed my time as GCO, and GXO before that. I'm sorry it has come to this, but my staying on any longer will only damage the Garrison.

I have informed the LCoG, who will be along shortly to advise and oversee the upcoming election. Until then, KG and Al with hold the fort.

Thankyou for your support over the last 8 months, and good luck with the upcoming election.

    Cheers

    J

Knightfall squad was engaged by Fox and the Ford Mother racing team to promote the Bluray release of Star Wars. Following the fantastic effort by the troopers on Wednesday at Federation Square, the above members answered the call and made their way to Phillip Island for the big race.
The official part of the mission was to be "Grid Girls" prior to the race. For this, the clients needed Vader and 3 TK's to flank the Mother Falcon on the Grid.

With the official part over, all remaining troopers geared up and we proceeded out to the merchandise area to pose for photos with the promotional vehicle and rattle some tins. This proved very successful with $379.55 raised for TLC!

Another benefit of being a trooper...

    Casualties: None
Unhappy Citizens: The little guy who fell asleep before having his photo with the group.
    Happy Citizens: All involved
    Armour casualties: None
Conclusion: A very successfull troop, with the clients extremely happy with our participation. After de-suiting, we were treated to a viewing of the Mother Falcon Team pit area/garage, where all the workings were explained. We were also lucky enough to see a pit stop in action. An extremely good experience, with some great troopers.
    Mission Status: Completed.

  3. Latex Tk Td Handguards

    11 September 2011 - 02:24 PM

I have just finished the molds for my latex TK/TD handguards. I will be offering them in 3 configurations: as a pair, attached to black rubber chemical gloves (screen accurate look), and attached to "Ninja" type neoprene/spandex gloves. They will come painted with a white acrylic/latex mix which should minimise any cracking. If you plan on going FISD Centurion or MEPD SWAT, you will need this type of handguard. They're also pretty comfy compared to the plastic ones :D These could also be painted black for any of you TX guys.

Now for some pics of the "creating" process (don't want to be labelled a recaster after all)

The originals were made from kiddies plasticine, all rolled out nicely and the details on top added after.

A pair of handguards by themselves is $15 shipped, and attached to gloves (either type of glove) is $25 shipped.

Send Paypal to : jkreis@picaustralia.com.au and list what configuration, size glove etc. in the message.
  4. Change In Command Staff Position

    13 August 2011 - 12:18 PM

    Fellow Troopers,

After nearly 5 years of service to TAG in Admin and Command, Troy has decided that he doesn't wish to continue in the position of CoG. He will however remain as TAG's GWL. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Troy for all his work for the Garrison to date.

It now gives me great pleasure to announce TAG's new Captain of the Guard.

TD-6082, Al Murrell has assumed the post effective immediately. Please join me in congratulating Al on his new position.
  5. Ready Up...

    17 March 2011 - 06:05 PM

    "Let's do this"

Since there are only so many Star Wars costumes a bloke can fit in his double garage, I thought I might try something different. It is based on Ghosts' "Loose Ends" level outfit.

The jacket was the hardest part to source. I ended up finding a hoodie in a local disposal store and sewing the sleeve zips and velro on. It is a little dark, but the closest I could find anywhere. The bally was also hard to find, and I have a couople more coming that are a bit brighter.

    So here he is..
