JB HI FI / Activision - Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2 Launch
IMPERIAL TRANSMISSION
Author: Aussie Juno ID6514, Victorian Knightfall Squad
Location: Level 89, Eureka Sky Deck & Atlantic Room
Date / Time:
Monday, 2/8/2010 - 6:30pm to 10:00pm
Troopers:
501st Legion
- Shane - SL
- Grant - TK Commander
- Duncan - TK
- Marcus - TK
- Bobby TK
Rebel Legion
- Rick (Jedi)
- April (Jedi)
Wrangler: Shiney
Report:
By special request Lord Vader, piloted by Juno Eclipse and accompanied by a TK Commander and 3 of his best TKs were deployed to the Eureka Tower to protect the secret launch of the Starkiller game called The Force Unleashed 2.
Lord Vader along with 2 troops took control of the only way in or out of the tower. With the lift doors opening to reveal Vader to the waiting people, his presence ensuring several Japanese tourists fled the foyer to the safety of the street.
After all guests were escorted to the top floor by the TKs they were welcomed by Juno and her TK companion to the event.
The Jedi council also had provided 2 emissaries Obi-wan and Ayla Securra to train many of the JB Hi Fi staff in the art of force control.
The evening involved many opportunities to interact and learn more of the back-story of
Juno and Starkiller, with 2 LucusArt informants assisting in the knowledge distribution.
Assistance to all members of the landing party was required on many occasions with Wrangler extraordinaire Shiney needing to educate the public that Ayla Securras Lekku does not supply blue milk when squeezed at the ends or that playing touch giggle and run with the back of the Dark Lords Helmet is disrespectful.
Many requests for knowledge from the landing party were made during the Trivia Quiz, for which Obi-Wan reminded them it is not the Jedi way. Photo opportunities abounded as the Tower to on an external appearance not dissimilar to that of Cloud City.
Special mention must be made of the Imperial Caterers and their hand servants who kept the landing party supplied with Peking Duck mini-pancakes and bubbly liquid of varying colours.
A decision was made to complete the mission once the public became well lubricated with the landing party retiring to the now shrouded in cloud green room.
Summary: Good night was had by all, with the refreshments a highlight
Casualties: JB Hi Fi staff egos who had attended with the intention of viewing a Call of Duty Launch
Injuries: Many JB Hi Fi employees heads the following morning from too many liquid refreshments
Armor Repairs: Twilek lekku leather straps, Imperial Officer French Twist repining and cutting (thanks Shiney never seen a Stanley Knife used with such skill!)
Happy People: Everyone involved including the biggest SW fans (Security Guard and Head Waiter)
and the folks at TLC for Kids ($500 donation!)
People not happy: Call of Duty fans
Mission Status: Complete
