I was watching ANH the other day and saw these little fellas zooming around the Death Star:

I'm sure someone in the TAG has thought about making one? My quick research uncovered this site: Mouse Droid Builders and this site: How to Build a Mouse Droid

It would be pretty cool to see some of these droids at a troop event!

Has anyone built one/thought of building one?

Cheers,
Shorty

Speak to Nedd and Dredd in Qld. They had a mouse droid running around Gencon. MC does them, just drop the shell onto a RC car. PM Dredd, I am sure he will help you. HTH

might have to wrack your brains a little dredd

i bought a shell from darth voorhees on fisd boards, there was a guy who was gonna cast the side and top greeblies, but that thought sseems to have died

trhe plan was to mount it on an rc car, mp3 player to a speaker with the sound effect

just gonna have to try and nut out those greeblies though -too much on the plate atm
cheers

Why not just build a mouse droid shell to go around a remote control car?

I've always refered to those Roombas as Mouse Droids, it would be awesome if they actually looked like them too.

What scale is it? The mouse droid kit is about 80% of the full size one and is set up for a 1/10 scale car. You need to get onto the legion forums :P

For the top greeblies I used the spaghetti wall plugs cut at different lengths, bit of ali plate for the base, random resistors etc.
Total cost about $4 each. They do the job, my MS droid spends most time on its lid hey Mouldman lol.

When at Science works on Thursday, I noticed the detail piece on the Landspeeders bonnet is also from the Mouse droid. No pics yet to back this up yet. Maybe this week I will bring the telephoto lens for a close up.

hahahaha

I roll it once at Gencon (maybe twice) and all of a sudden Im a MSE destroyer lol.

No one mentions my awesome piloting which included circling trapped bemused passers by, patroling bins and refuse points, harrasing Klingons, escorting troopers and Jawas AND my death defying crowd pleasing run on two wheels straight outa blues brothers.

Had alot of fun with Dredds MSE, Great droid/build mate.
