Hi Wayne, there are a couple of ways to go. You can get pre made lenses off Evilbay, you can get yourself a grade 5 green welders mask and cut your own out, or you can get some green car window tint, double it up so you can't see through it and cut it to the right shape. I've done all three and the window tint is the quickest, cheapest and easiest ,method. If you muck it up, you just start again.

Just stop at a local tint place and ask if they have any non usable off cuts.

Yeah, you have to double it up so it isn't see through. When you glue it in, it is strong enough to support itself. I got a 50cm x 50cm off cut for nothing. Told the bloke what it was for, and he just gave it to me.

Any suggestions on sticking the tint to itself or a coke bottle etc. I've got almost 2 meters of tint [gotta love free], and my first attempt was disasterous. Tips?

Window tint is funny stuff. If you want to stick it to glass or such all you do is pull the backing off, yes thats right folks it has a clear backing. And wet the surface you want to apply it to and then wet the back of the tint where you removed the backing from.

Its tricky and takes a while to get th hang of, even more so when you don't want dust and dirt between the glass and the film.

Cheers Will the former window tinter
