Report: Toys R Us were reported to be opening a new outlet at Westfield Doncaster Shopping Centre. We were scheduled to appear at 10:30am to back up Mr Potato head, Monopoly Millionare, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee and of course Geoffrey the Giraffe, so we decided to meet up an hour before hand for Caf and catch up. It was kind of like walking into that Smugglers dive cantina in Mos Eisley, with all the strange faces and alien species, but shortly before we were set to deploy, we headed back to the staff area and suited up. First time Troopers Mars and Dan (Barking Dragon) were running a little late, which was funny because they had the shortest distance to travel than all of us, but once they arrived we quickly got them sorted and suited up. 10:30 was showtime and we headed out into the store and made our presence felt. The crowd went wild as we mingled amongst the shoppers looking for a bargain with the stores 20% off opening week offer.

The Troops spend the three and a half hours in and out the front of the store, up the escalators in the shopping centre proper and out in the car park where a local radio station was doing a promotion.
Though we were kept busy with the many shoppers and handing out free lightsabres to the true fans. time did seem to drag on this one, and by 2:00 we were already to call it a day. We headed back to the change area then all headed to the food court for a well deserved lunch.


Summery: At only 3 1/2 hours it was a relatively short troop, but it was draining and many of us were glad when it was over. Dan and Marcell did a great job on their first outings and I think we will be seeing a lot more of them. Toys R Us were very happy with us and made a donation to TLC for our appearance of some toys.

Casualties: Three little boys with way to many questions were lucky that our two bounty hunters and the Jawa they were annoying, had left their real blasters at home. Lucky for them we had a "No Disintergrations" policy in effect.

Injuries: Boba Fett's nose was a little short of room in his helmet.

Armor Repairs: The digestive Tract of a Sarlac is not good for Armor and as a result Boba had a few armor malfunctions. But I am sure he will have them all fixed by the next event.

Happy People: Too many to count

People not happy: None

OMG this is my first, I must point out the cute little checky Jawa did turn into a butterfly which was a blue jedi in the last half of the troop, pointing out I have a jedi jawa thing going on.
